How To Make A Anarkali Suit

THE BLOG AND 'DEDICATED TO Ilaria Alpi

March 20, 1994 - March 20 2009: 15 years without truth and justice. Not to forget Ilaria and Miran
a brave woman

----------------------- ---------- On March 20, 1994 in Mogadishu, Somalia to the north, are brutally murdered Ilaria Alpi (32 years, journalist RAI) and his cameraman Miran Hrovatin (image). In RAI Ilaria Alpi since 1990 had worked in Paris, Morocco, Belgrade, Zagreb. It was the seventh time he was sent to Somalia in September 1992. was in place the mission "Restore Hope" in the UN, we also took part in the Italian troops. Despite This relief was late, did not immediately established the responsibilities of the incident, in fact, it all happened in a way contradictory and disturbing. Suffice it to say that you have found the Ilaria Alpi EXERCISE on which she used to write down his journalistic activities. What are the implementation of the unexplained reasons (because of an actual implementation it was)? The hypothesis is that

Ilaria Alpi was aware of the trafficking of weapons or radioactive waste from Italy or Europe in general, and this must be "annoyed" someone. Ustica
As the military authorities, at least so far, no shining example of clarity and helpfulness. A process has already taken place, but turned up nothing significant.

March 20, 1994 - March 20, 2009. 15 years ago in Mogadishu, Somalia, were brutally murdered Ilaria Alpi and Miran Hrovatin. Two people, two Italian journalists who were sent Rai in Somalia to carry out their profession with passion and professionalism. To tell what was happening in that battered country.

-E 'release the call of the XV edition of the Ilaria Alpi Journalistic Television
February 4 2009

"Receiving Television Journalism Award" Ilaria Alpi was a great honor. The award demonstrates that there is still room for those who decide to pursue this craft against the current. Unfortunately, today, investigative journalism is often denied, even in Western countries that call themselves democratic. For our work is therefore vital that an award like this exists and persists. "These are significant words which Gwenlaouen The Gouil (pictured during the ceremony) French journalist Ilaria Alpi Prize International Report 2008 summarizes the value of the Journalism Award Television Ilaria Alpi, now in its fifteenth edition.

The competition, reserved for investigations by journalists and television services that deal with issues of civic engagement and social (solidarity, nonviolence, justice, human rights, labor), in fifteen years has seen the presence of the biggest names in Italian journalism and international. The call of the XV edition of the Ilaria Alpi Prize has just been published and is available here. Read the announcement and the press release.

: Pacifism and Resistance
I'll be honest: this piece I was commissioned, and I do not write on commission is good. When Henry asked me, I thought, how the hell I tie them, Gandhi and The Resistance? Well yes, generally we can talk about civic engagement and civic sense, but I was looking for a connection under the skin, and, if possible, more specific.
Then I started to look (again) all of the videos posted on youtube and I left to take, as always happens to me before the ideas are not ideas, but they project. And I read about Gandhi: the struggle for the rights of minorities, the strategy of non-cooperation with the English, cultural training, without prejudice, open to all religions, Hindu, Muslim, even the Catholic and Finally, Satyagraha, which has philosophical and political movement based on the two pillars of truth and nonviolence, has become enormous resistance to oppression through mass civil disobedience that led India to independence.

And I wondered: what if the story were not to sign the Alexander and Caesar, Napoleon and Mussolini?
What would change if the world to write the pages of our textbooks were the Socrates, the Montesquieu, the Martin Luther King and Gandhi? Maybe, just maybe, best training generations of students and citizens.
Perhaps the spirit of international cooperation that motivates the UN would not need to be confirmed by dedicating a day, today, October 2, non-violence. Maybe we would have more respect for the institutions and think a few more minutes in the voting booth, before you put the cross on a name.
Or maybe a group of boys with a musical dream not quite in line with the tastes of the mass should not manage themselves, but would have a producer who organized and financed the work.
What does it mean to win or lose, life and history? To win means to me a perfect body with the action, even if, in practice, that action is futile and does not lead to immediate results. It means something that sprouts plant, also in the land of others, even though the greatest pacifist of the story is pierced by three shots. It means believing in what they call "Better World", and not just hear it as a slogan of good feelings.
So at the end of an afternoon that was supposed to be part of injunctions and lawsuits, I found the link I was looking for deep, visceral, intense, condensed into two words: Truth and nonviolence. The motto of Gandhi, the caption that I put it to every song by these guys. Sure, their music, in the eyes of the victors, not change the world. But in the eyes of the losers like me, makes it a better place to live.
Good luck. Marina

Child soldiers, 250 thousand with a Kalashnikov in hand Source: RaiNews24 - October 15, 2008 Never a Kalashnikov shouldered by a child: is education the only 'weapon useful' to ensure a future of hope to 37 million of children who still can not go to school because of the wars. Yet in 2007 the countries in conflict and instability have spent $ 17.8 billion in arms, three times what is necessary to achieve universal primary education to children who inhabit them, while the G8 countries-including Italy, 84-hold percent of arms exports in the world.
The complaint comes from the report by Save the Children, 'Children and weapons. Education to fight the war ', published to launch the third edition of the campaign 'Rewrite the Future', which in two years has provided quality education to 6 million children who live in countries experiencing or emerging from armed conflict, and aims to increase to nearly 8 million by 2010.

"The G8 countries - warned Save The Children - 'can not give aid in education and solemnly undertake to ensure that all children, especially those in countries in conflict, and at the same time export arms to those nations themselves'. He added: 'If we really care about the future of children affected by war, including thousands of child soldiers, we must not only increase investment in education, but face the crux of indiscriminate small arms trade. "
According to the report of the international organization, is still at least 250,000 children of which 40% girls are used as soldiers, spies, porters, cooks, 'wives' of combatants and non-state armies enrolled in at least 24 countries and territories. Children forced to commit violence but also to endure in the last years, at least 2 million were killed by small arms fire and 6 million injured, disabled or traumatized made being forced to attend to incidents of abuse and violence. Then there are 22 million refugees and displaced children as a result of wars, and 8-10000 young victims who die or are maimed each year by the outbreak of ordnance, particularly of type 'cluster', which remain hidden in the ground.

CLUSTER BOMBS: ITALY keep their word in Oslo
Source : Italian Campaign to Ban Landmines - December 3, 2008
Today it is open for signature the Convention banning cluster munitions because of their indiscriminate humanitarian effects. Undersecretary Vincenzo Scotti has signed the treaty for Italy, which has actively participated in all stages of this negotiation called "Oslo Process".

In his speech during the signing ceremony, the Secretary pointed out that Italy has clear about its commitments, including a rapid ratification of the Convention, its universalization and support for a renewed support for related activities such as reclamation humanitarian assistance to victims.

"The words of the Secretary on this occasion of historic significance are encouraging but they may in fact be disowned from Service Fund for Humanitarian Demining in which there is no trace in the budget law under discussion," said Giuseppe Schiavello Director of the Italian Campaign against landmines.
"We expect the Secretary to exercise his powers to fill the void created by the annulment of the appropriations dedicated to these activities and humanitarian cooperation, ensuring the consistency of the government with its commitments and the credibility of our country internationally, "says Schiavello.

the eve of the debate of the budget was presented, signed by Senators Allen (PDL), Amati (PD) and other Senators from the various groups, an amendment sponsored by the Italian Campaign for the restoration of the Fund.

The Italian Campaign calls upon the Senate to unanimously supported this amendment is really, concretely demonstrating the stated interest towards the preservation of life and fundamental rights of peoples civilians.

Weapons in Italy: between lobbying and directives
Source: L'Espresso - July 17, 2008
While the racket back to kill, the State did not even know how many weapons may move or be sold legally in provinces such as Naples and Caserta. The archives of police stations, especially in the South, are not yet computerized. The figures on firearms are collected manually and paper files are updated with delays of three to five years.
is a historic technology gap that the police are struggling to fill, the goal is to create, since 2009, an archive of all firearms. The technicians of the Interior Ministry would thus anticipate the effects of the directive approved in December by the European Parliament. By 2015 all EU Member States will set up a database and kept for at least twenty years, the mandatory information on sales of handguns, rifles, machine guns and ammunition. The directive was approved in December by 588 votes in favor, 11 abstentions and 14 against: the only Italian to vote no, the League's Francesco Speroni. In the long debate MEPs also seem to be against Finland. On the eve of the vote, however, an eighteen year old Tuusula has shot and eight high school friends and then shot himself. The massacre has shocked a country where the weapons, for historical reasons, are widespread. And where the rate of deaths from firearms is triple Italy.

this, even Finland has voted for stricter controls. In the U.S., by contrast, the conservative majority on the Supreme Court has recently reconfirmed that arm is an individual right enshrined in the Constitution. A win of the powerful gun lobby, nononostante the alarm at the continuing massacres in schools, from high school in Columbine (15 dead including the two student-killer in '99) at the University of Virginia Tech (33 victims in April 2007). Each year in the U.S. will sell five million pistols, submachine guns and rifles. And the death rate for firearms is seven times more than Italy.
