Lake Bled in Slovenia is located in the northwestern part of the country, at the foot of the Julian Alps, near the border of Italy and Austria. Although relatively small, the town of Bled is a major tourist destination, with visitors from Austria, Germany and Italy.
During the summer, its population tripled. It is famous for its lake (diameter about 2 km), centered on a small island which was built a church, and for its thermal springs.
